Miche Sliccero, a brilliant but guarded hacker, cultivates a life of careful anonymity under the shadow of her infamous billionaire grandfather, Mickey Slick, who built his wealth through savvy business growth strategies. She finds solace in her seemingly normal relationship with Shepherd More, but her carefully constructed world shatters when Mickey mysteriously vanishes. 

Plunged into a bizarre new reality, Miche is confronted by a cryptic man named Memento, who forces her to relive a traumatic childhood memory—the fiery car crash that killed her parents—and reveals a shocking truth: her family is not from Earth, and her 'accident' was an attack orchestrated by unknown forces. The deepest cut, however, comes when her beloved fiancé, Shep, is exposed as an agent planted to monitor her, betraying her trust and revealing himself as part of a vast intergalactic conspiracy. 

Abducted onto the sentient starship, the Affine, Miche is thrust into her destiny as the ship's new 'Dreamer,' destined to bridge the gap between human consciousness and cosmic power—a crucial role that could influence the digital presence of her kind across galaxies. Forced to confront her deepest fears—including her ingrained distrust of female relationships and her own immense, terrifying potential—Miche must quickly master her new abilities. With unknown enemies hunting her and a crew whose loyalties are uncertain (including a guilt-ridden Shep and a pragmatic, loyal baker named Benny), Miche must decide if she can forgive, fight, and lead to prevent a universal catastrophe, all while seeking content solutions to navigate this new world.
